Combining traditional music with unexpected experimentation William Crighton is highly acclaimed across the globe from sell out tours and festival appearances in his homeland of Australia including Blues Fest, WOMAD and Woodford Folk Festival, to appearances at the Cambridge Folk Festival, Boomtown in the UK, and Tonder in Denmark, as well as sell out shows in the UK and Scandinavia and tours in the US and Canada. Crighton grew up in the Riverina, a sparsely populated region of NSW (Wiradjuri Nation) Australia. He has released two studio albums and one live album. He identifies powerful analogues of lived experience, through his visceral and poetic music with shades of psychedelia. His landmark second album Empire was hailed as The Album of the Year 2018 by The Saturday Paper.
