Acoustic guitar, electric guitar, trumpet and shared lead-harmony singing is the backbone of the Victoriana Gaye sound, but added to this the rhythm section of Simon Dawe on drums and Steve Hadley on bass, the net result is something real, rocking and true.

Their songs are drawn from a broad musical knowledge, which includes jazz, classic movie soundtracks, sunny psychedelia and their own blend of indie/folk/rock. Vicki Gaye Philipp and Jeff Raglus live at Aireys Inlet on the South West coast of Victoria. They have packed a lot into the eight years since they formed, recording five albums; ‘Five Songs’, ‘Our Pleasure’, ‘Holy Roll’ ,’Red Moon Ray’ and most recently ‘The Freest of the Free’. They have played their original tunes at festivals and venues in the UK, Europe, Japan, New Caledonia and continue to tour around Australia.

‘Voices that curl like smoke around each other in harmonies that intertwine but are still individual…songs that talk about feelings found washed up at high tide. Victoriana Gaye are that rare thing; a progressive, sophisticated adult pop duo’. Chris Wilson
