Margret RoadKnight’s professional singing debut was at a Melbourne theatre in 1963, and subsequent decades have taken her around the globe, often representing Australia. PFFF’s Artist of the Year 1998, Margret has recorded ten albums, appeared on many more, and her timeless Australiana ’70s hit Girls in Our Town is still fondly remembered. Margret is renowned for her lyrics of wit and wisdom, powerful and versatile vocals, unique wide-ranging roots-based repertoire, and her sense of humour and history.
