Australian Made & Played Live CD

Australian Made & Played Live! – a double album.

ORDER NOW: CD Order Form

Australian Made & Played Live is a double album of performances from the 2002–2006 Australian Made & Played concerts. It’s packed with great performances and unexpected collaborations. Most importantly, the album is a great showcase of our amazing instrument makers and their work.

The album has been heartily supported by both artists and makers, who are sometimes the same person!

It includes a mammoth 25 tracks with stand-out and unusual performances such as Bob Brozman performing with Mark Aspland in Bob’s first percussion recording and a rare solo performance from The Waif’s Josh Cunningham.

Other highlights include performances from the Pigram Brothers with Shane Howard and Ian Noyce, Michael McGoldrick of Capercaillie with Jim Murray (Sharon Shannon Band, Séamus Begley) and Tony McMannus, Mia Dyson, mandolin legends Stephen Gilchrist and Grammy award-winner Mike Compton (of O Brother, Where Art Thou? fame, John Hartford, Ralph Stanley) plus many more wonderful performances.

“A festival highlight, the Australian Made & Played concert is an opportunity to hear the magnificent instruments on display. It has been a forum for unusual and unexpected collaborations and many great performances. Wonderful Australian made instruments are played around the world.”
Dani Rocca, Exhibition & Album Coordinator

“The Australian Made & Played concerts have been recorded over several years, and this beautiful double album is a priceless documentation of the instruments, the players and the creation of music. We have here the complete transition from trees to tunes!”
Jamie McKew, Port Fairy Folk Festival Director
