Backstage





The festival is produced by the Port Fairy Folk Festival Committee which is a not-for-profit organisation.



There is a 15 member committee and a small part-time staff. The festival director, Jamie McKew, is assisted by Program Administrator, Sandy Brady. The main office is administrated by Robyn Bartlett.

The committee meets all year round. As the festival approaches a team of over 400 is assembled to run the festival.

The Friends of the Festival are a large team of volunteers who work on venues, doors, as stage managers and emcees, cleaners, on bars and many other tasks.

In the final two weeks leading into the festival, a mighty construction crew joins assembles to build the huge Hockers and a myriaad of small marquees and tents.
