A wise person once said, “speaking comes from the mind, singing comes from the soul”… And there are few artists with as much soul as the ‘Find Your Voice’ choir. This All-Abilities choir truly is a celebration of human spirit. Established in southwest Victoria by singer/songwriter, Tom Richardson, and All Abilities Advocacy mentor, Kylie Thulborn, the choir grew from humble grass-roots meetings into showcase performances at the 2018 Port Fairy Folk Festival & national television appearances. The choir features over 200 members from all corners of South-West Victoria – Warrnambool, Port Fairy, Geelong, Surf Coast, Bellarine, Hamilton, Portland & Terang. Welcoming members of all abilities, ages, genders, ethnicities, sexual preferences, religions and backgrounds, Find Your Voice continues to attract international attention prompting standing ovations, teary eyes & overflowing hearts. The FYV family is potentially the largest choir of its nature, anywhere in the world!
We all need to find our voice – some of us have lost it along the way, others are unsure whether they ever had once in the first place… Whether in the car, in the shower, solo, in a group, on or off stage, singing feels good. It’s time to remember that we all have a voice & to give ourselves permission to sing from our soul!
